Hello guys, lately I've received a lot of the "fake email marketing" so I wanted to help some of the bloggers who decided to try it, not to turn their emails in spam we all hate.
Talking as an email receiver, for me there are two kinds of Email Marketing: For those who signed up to received news from your blog (The real email marketing) and for those who may enjoy knowing more about your blog (the fake one, sometimes it's known as spam).
I'm going to give a few tips about the second group because it's for for those who doesnt have the right resources.
First of all, what is Email Marketing?
It is a way to do directly marketing, a commercial message to a group of people using email but you have to be allowed to send them your message. It's not nice to keep sending the same thing for someone who doesnt even want to know about your product (blog or giveaway), so please make sure you're emailing right.
Why do people like using it?
Emailing someone is a very easy and fast thing, you can also reach a great number of interested people and interact more with them.
How to do a nice manual emailing to your readers?
After you have the list of possible readers, in this case, you should follow some steps not to mess with their inbox and have a good relation with them.*
- Email first the contact asking if you can continue sending him news or promotions. This is the basic, please don't forget doing it.
- Don't display the emails to others. Adding the email list on cc or cco is much better than setting them on the main recipient (It's for precaution and not everyone likes knowing their email is given to everybody who received the message)
- Add your list on your email contact list. It would be nice (for you and for the receivers) if you could create this list for those you found feedback or you found nice emailing stuff from your blog. It helps you knowing if you have already sent that email and you have your own list of possible readers contacts.
- Don't send lots of emails in one single day. Some people may enjoy knowing from your blog but it's not nice being bumped with a lot of similar emails.
It's very important not sending a thousand times the same email for the same person. It sucks, ok? Nobody likes it. They may block you for doing that.
- Always put a good title. Nice titles call attention and prove you're not a fake account. A good text helps too.
- Be nice and show you admire your readers. Trying to approach new "followers" requires charisma and patience, why not signing your name and let them know they can always answer you? And remember, everyday you have to conquer your old readers as well.
- Try not to make any rude grammar mistakes. Well, this one speaks for itself.
*One way to create this list is finding people with common interests.(An example ,just like I've seen, is finding people who entered similar blogs and giveaways and contact them)
Please, email marketing is not SPAM. Don't forget this.Spamming is not a good way of advertising your page.
Email marketing enables who is receiving it to stop, so if someone contacts you to stop, please do it.
"In its most popular form, a spam email is a message with advertising purposes. The term spam, however, can be applied to messages sent by other means and in other situations up to modest. Generally spams have appealing character and most often are uncomfortable and inconvenient."
I found some girls who did a really great job on sending this kind of emails, so it's not that hard :) Good luck!
